There are few places that can still be called a real Colorado ski town, and Crested Butte is one of them. There are no traffic lights, no chain stores and no high-rise buildings. Yet you’ll quickly see there’s no shortage of entertainment and dining options-all run by some of the most welcoming people you’ll ever meet.

Located off the beaten path of I-70, Crested Butte is known for more time on the slopes and less time in lift lines. The 1,547 acres of ski-able terrain offers something for every skiing ability. With over half the mountain geared to intermediate and beginner skiers and a centrally located base area; it is a great place for families and groups with all ability levels. For the more adventurous skiers and snowboarders Crested Butte is a dream with some of the best lift-served extreme terrain in the nation. Home to first winter X games, the longest extreme skiing competition in the world, quirky costume events, and our friendly vibe, Crested Butte is a place you want to add to your skiing and snowboarding bucket list. If you aren’t a big skier or snowboarder, there are still a plethora of activities for you to enjoy as well- surrounded by 1.7 million acres of national forest, you can snowshoe, fat bike, and cross country ski, right out your door in any direction.

This place is in a fantastic location in Breckenridge! It's close enough to walk into downtown for dinner which we did every night. It's easy access to the slopes (we walked to Peak 9 every day to get on the mountain) or there is a shuttle 1 block away that you can catch to get to other parts of the mountain. The condo is fully stocked with everything you could need, it's clean and well taken care of. The only drawback we had during our visit...the last night we were there the hot tub water level had dropped low enough during the day that the heater had shut off for the hot tub so it was too cool to use. I looked for a hose bibb nearby to fill it up but couldn't find one. We had kept the cover on, so it must have just gottne low enough over time. The hot tub is a huge appeal for the kids, so that was a bummer, but at least it was just one night.
